TTM WORKER COURSE
The TTM Worker Course is your entry-level as a worker in the TTM industry.
This induction-based workshop is for any worker who will assist with Temporary Traffic Management under the direction of an STMS. (e.g. puts signs and cones out, assists with stop/go, driving activity). Retain staff by sending them out on their first job fully competent. Help your STMS’ by giving them a competent crew and booking them into the TTM Worker Course.

Day 1
Intro to the CoPTTM
Day 2
The practical sign off
DAY 1
Theory introduction to the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management and why we do what we do out there on worksites. Completing the required unit standards for a TTM worker. This includes demonstrating knowledge of working safely on-site under the instruction of an STMS.
DAY 2
Practical workshop. Here you will run through the practical side of your role, learning how to set up and pack down TTM equipment.You will demonstrate your understanding of your role as in both a controlled environment and on a live site, with Mentors and verifiers present.

Anyone who is interested in a career in the TTM industry should take this course. This is your entry-level course.
PREREQUISITES
No prerequisites required this is an entry level course.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Theory and practical components of the following:
Health and safety as a TTM worker.
Manual handling and lifting.
PPE requirement.
Harness training.
Tasks and responsibilities of a TTM worker.
Handling TTM equipment, how to install it and pack it down (level 1 and level 2 covered).
Working on the back of TTM vehicles (level 1 and level 2 covered).
NZQA UNIT STANDARDS
TTMW – Explain the role of and operate as a TTM worker on the worksite under temporary traffic management.
